Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4 years HVAC/refrigeration repair experience, incl. 2 years on 5-ton+ systems.
• Vocational HVAC program or Basic Refrigeration plus 3 years experience; EPA 608 Universal.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Availability to work varying shifts, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical labor, repair, and maintenance on City HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical components and controls on HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Install and repair small electric motors in forced air systems.
• Transfer knowledge to HVAC Apprentices and assist with hot/cold calls.
• Maintain records of work orders and monitor supplies.
• Perform other trades work as needed.
