Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 to professionally deliver, install, and service portable HVAC equipment for customers. The role involves operating, inspecting, and repairing equipment, with responsibilities for paperwork, safety checks, and on-site training when needed.

The position requires 3–5 years of HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work after hours and weekends.

Qualifications

3–5 years of formal HVAC experience/training.
Must possess basic math skills.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to work some after hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment.
Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
Troubleshoots and understands operation, functions, specs, capabilities and controls of equipment.
Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
Cleans and tests returned equipment for proper operation and appearance.
Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
Installs flexible gas hoses on propane and natural gas applications.
Checks gas connections safely and properly.
Maintains records of in-stock and rented equipment; coordinates with managers and sales engineers.
On-call for emergency service on weekends and evenings.
