Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Charlotte, NC is seeking an HVAC Technician II to service portable HVAC equipment, deliver, install, and instruct customers on safe operation. The role emphasizes professionalism, clear communication, and on-site service excellence.

You will troubleshoot equipment, complete paperwork, and participate in after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating schedule. A valid driver's license, 3–5 years HVAC experience, and an HVAC certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience/training.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• HVAC Certificate preferred, which recognizes some level of formal training as well as the legal ability to work on refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment.
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots and understands operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment; ensures operation and appearance meet standards.
