Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years of HVAC/refrigeration repair experience, including two years on five ton or larger systems.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with good record.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical labor, repair, and maintenance on City of Dallas HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical components and pneumatic controls to assist repairs and ensure quality work.
• Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC/refrigeration equipment; handles drain lines and refrigerant recovery per regulations.
• Installs and repairs small motors, drinking fountains, refrigerators, and related equipment.
• Maintains work records and coordinates supplies; responds to varying shifts including nights and weekends.
