Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks an HVAC Technician 1 to deliver, install and service portable HVAC equipment for our customers. You will work primarily in the shop but also support on-site jobs, ensuring safe operation and accurate documentation of equipment.

The role emphasizes professional communication, reliability and the ability to troubleshoot and train customers or operators on safe use. We offer training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Basic math skills required.
• Mechanically inclined with hands-on ability.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work some after hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers, managers and sales engineers.
• Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train operators on safe use.
• Obtain signatures and track serial numbers.
• Troubleshoot operation and controls of rental equipment.
• Operate company vehicle safely and follow safety policies.
• Clean and test returned equipment; ensure readiness.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups and service calls.
• Install gas hoses and check connections for propane and natural gas.
• Collaborate to maintain inventory and rental equipment records.
• Be on call for emergency service on rotating weekends/evenings.
