Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 1 to deliver portable HVAC equipment, demonstrate safe operation, and support shop duties. You will train customers or operators, assist with equipment checks, and collaborate with managers and sales engineers on inventory and service scheduling.

The role requires 1–2 years in a service role, basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend and after-hours work may be required; starting pay ranges from the base rate with

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work some after hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of the equipment.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment; ensures operation and appearance meet standards.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs gas hoses for propane and natural gas applications; checks gas connections.
• Works with managers and sales engineers to track stock and rentals; on-call for emergency service.
