Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks an HVAC Technician 1 to deliver portable HVAC equipment, train customers on safe operation, and support shop organization. The role emphasizes professionalism, clear communication, and dependable service delivery.

Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, paperwork, and ensuring equipment safety. You will join a team on a rotating on-call schedule, with opportunities to grow within a national equipment rental leader.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record free from points.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Must be able to work some after hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the authorized operator on safe use.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots operation, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment and prepares it for rental.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs flexible gas hose on propane and natural gas applications.
• Checks gas connections safely and accurately.
• Maintains records of in-stock and rented equipment with managers and sales engineers.
• On call for emergency service on weekends and evenings.
