Job summary

Qualifications

• State of South Carolina requires a high school diploma and experience in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems or in the operation and maintenance of HVAC mechanical and building control systems.
• Must possess EPA 608 Type II or universal certification or obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC maintenance and repair program throughout the facility.
• Supervise and complete HVAC maintenance, construction, and renovation projects for assigned facility.
• Establish on-call procedures to respond to emergency maintenance and repair calls and ensure the work is promptly and properly performed.
• Determine requirements for HVAC supplies and equipment.
• Prepare justification for supplies and equipment and submit purchase requisitions.
• Remains abreast of new HVAC/refrigeration techniques, procedures and equipment.
• Recommend the procurement and assist in supervising the installation of new equipment.
• May require overtime, on-call rotation and 24-hour response for emergencies.
• General maintenance experience.
