Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks an HVAC Technician Helper/Tradesman in Portland, OR to assist in diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and on-site work with opportunities to advance as you gain experience.

A High School diploma or GED is required; EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• Willingness to learn and perform hands-on HVAC tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts.
• Assist with repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to various HVAC components.
• Assist with rebuilds of HVAC and applied equipment.
• Receive detailed direction while working with senior technicians and leads.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
