Job summary

Daikin Applied in Portland, OR is hiring an HVAC Technician Helper/Tradesman to assist with diagnosing, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems. You will support activity across rooftops, chillers, boilers and air handling units, while logging work, following safety standards and communicating progress to customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree or technical training in HVAC is preferred.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment and log machines.
• Clean coils, brushes tubes, replace filters and belts, lubricate components.
• Assist with repair or replacement of defective equipment and wiring.
• Support with rebuilds of HVAC and applied equipment.
• Provide status reports to customers before, during and after service calls.
• Perform basic data entry and use email, internet and MS Office tools.
• Wear PPE and follow safety policies; keep work area clean.
