Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks an HVAC Technician Helper in Atlanta, GA to assist in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment. You will gain exposure to rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems while logging data and supporting senior technicians on site.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EPA Universal Technician Certification, and enrollment or degree in HVAC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification required.
• Associate degree or certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning or currently enrolled in a program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts, and lubrication.
• Assist with repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Receive detailed direction while sharing hands-on tasks with other technicians and lead.
• Interac with customers by providing status reports before, during, and after service calls.
• Perform basic data entry and use email, internet and Microsoft applications; wear PPE and follow safety policies.

Education

EPA Universal Technician Certification

Currently enrolled in HVAC program
