Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, chillers and boilers. You will supervise junior technicians, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure safety and quality in service calls across client sites in Texas.

You will participate in training and apply knowledge to improve equipment reliability while documenting work orders and coordinating with customers.

Qualifications

  • HVAC and refrigeration systems maintenance and repair experience required.
  • Experience with rooftop units, chillers, boilers, water source heat pumps preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Lead Level I technicians through hands-on troubleshooting and repair steps.
  • Inspect systems, replace components, log maintenance, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Communicate status with customers and participate in Daikin training programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes but is not limited to large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Valley, TX - OnsiteWhat you will do:Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubricationRepair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubesMaintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacksPerform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and componentsDirect Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipmentIntroduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III techniciansRecord and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely mannerInteract with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning.
