Job summary

Sagamore is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair equipment in Massachusetts. You will refer to blueprints, test systems with diagnostic tools, and ensure leak-free operations while following safety protocols and on-call rotations.

The role demands driving, EPA Universal certification, and MA or RI refrigeration licensure. We offer health/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, and long-term disability.

Qualifications

• Requires HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair expertise.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment to identify problems.
• Must be able to work in varying conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License and refrigeration licenses required.
• EPA Universal certification and OSHA training.
• MA or RI Refrigeration License required.

Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
• Requires working in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
• This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, climbing ladders and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move over 50 pounds.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to use power and hand tools.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with customers.
• Valid Driver's License.
