Job summary

HomeWorks Energy in Massachusetts is seeking a qualified HVAC Maintenance Technician to install and maintain HVAC systems, perform troubleshooting, calibrate equipment, and ensure all operations meet safety and efficiency standards.

You will work across sites from Sutton to Wareham, join a team that values reliability and safety, and contribute to ongoing maintenance of new and existing equipment with opportunities for overtime, bonuses, and career growth.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification (for refrigerant handling) is required.
• NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC with a focus on system start-up, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance and system start-up, including cleaning and calibration of HVAC units.
• Conduct system tests and diagnose issues to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Explain operations and maintenance procedures to customers and document service activities.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies during work.
• Shadow junior technicians and provide training as needed.
