Job summary

Lee County School System seeks an HVAC Mechanic to maintain, repair, fabricate, and install heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration systems across district facilities. Support to the plant operations department and mechanics is provided.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, EPA Section 608 Certification, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and a clean driving record. You will perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with staff to minimize downtime.

• Maintain driving record for insurability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in general maintenance of facilities.
• Perform maintenance tasks and assist co-workers with maintenance duties.
• Climb and work from ladders or elevated platforms.
• Maintain work vehicle and tools in clean and good working order.
• Maintain accurate daily activity records and clean-up work area after completion.
• Be prompt, timely and thorough in completing assigned tasks.
• Communicate with school staff and departmental staff and maintain confidentiality.
