Job summary

Lee County School System seeks an HVAC Mechanic to maintain, repair, fabricate, and install heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration systems across district facilities. Support to the plant operations department and mechanics is provided.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, EPA Section 608 Certification, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and a clean driving record. You will perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with staff to minimize downtime.

• Be prompt, timely and thorough in completing assigned tasks.

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor/ Plant Operations Director

DEPARTMENT: Plant Operations

Responsible for maintenance, repair, fabrication, controls and installation of heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration for Lee County School System. Provide support to plant operations department and mechanics.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Georgia Driver's License
• Maintain appropriate driving record for insurability
• Must maintain EPA Section 608 Certification

Skills/Special Knowledge:

• Demonstrate aptitude for successfully performing tasks assigned

Performs other assigned duties to support other areas of department during absences or staff shortages
