Job summary

Steelcase seeks a skilled HVAC Technician to ensure environmental integrity of buildings, manage HVAC and supporting systems, and communicate with inspectors and vendors. You will work on electrical, pneumatic, water and life-safety systems, ensuring maximum efficiency for occupants.

The role requires a four-year apprenticeship, safety-focused operations, and capability to work in elevated or hazardous conditions. Training resources are provided and placement is on-site in Grand Rapids, MI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four-year apprenticeship approved by the U.S. Department of Labor with electronics/electrical knowledge and refrigerant handling certification.
• Must follow established safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard assets and prevent fraud per internal controls.
• Work with limited supervision; may oversee apprentices and contractors.
• Operate in office and manufacturing environments with hazardous materials and elevated work conditions.
