Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking an HVAC Technician in Durham, NC to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems in a fast-paced setting. You will work with chillers, air handling units, heat pumps, DDC controls, and ventilation equipment to keep systems operating safely and efficiently.

This contract-to-hire role requires a high school diploma or GED, HVAC certificate or state license, EPA Universal Refrigerant License, and hands-on experience with industrial systems.

Qualifications

• Industrial/ commercial HVAC experience on chillers and chilled water systems.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant License required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Analyze system data and logs to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Support system evaluations and safety standards; document findings.
• Maintain logs and work independently or with a team.

Position Description

Join a dynamic team as an HVAC Technician in Durham, NC, where you'll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC systems in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical expertise on a variety of equipment, including chillers, air handling units, heat pumps, VAVs, DDC controls, and ventilation systems. Responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, analyzing system data, and ensuring all HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely. You will also assist with system evaluations, maintain comprehensive logs, and support the overall safety standards. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Top Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license
• Experience working on industrial and commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers and chilled water systems
• Valid driver’s license and EPA Universal Refrigeration License
