Mr. Holland’s Home Services, a proud brand of Clarion Home Services Group, seeks an HVAC Technician in Racine, WI. This full-time, on-site and field-based role offers a variable schedule with up to 40 hours weekly, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

We provide comprehensive benefits, immediate-vest 401(k), and continuous training. Competitive pay of $30.00–$45.00/hour plus service spiffs, with bi-weekly pay and normal overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years in residential HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and sales.
• EPA Certification Type II or Universal preferred.
• Strong communication skills and team orientation.
• High integrity with desire for continuous improvement.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC and ventilation systems, using root-cause analysis to ensure long-term solutions.
• Perform maintenance including cleaning air handlers and coils, system calibration, and replacing wear-and-tear components.
• Translate technical findings into clear repair options for homeowners with upfront pricing.
• Evaluate aging or inefficient equipment and educate customers on replacements and memberships.
• Maintain professional rapport with homeowners to understand needs and system requirements.
• Communicate with Dispatch and Customer Service for efficient scheduling and completion.
• Manage a fully stocked service vehicle and keep job sites clean, safe, and organized.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and service reports via company mobile platforms.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; daily start and end times vary based on project demands. Variable full-time schedule, up to 40 hours per week (hours are driven by project workloads and seasonal business needs; a minimum number of weekly hours is not guaranteed). Occasional overtime, weekend shifts, and after-hours work may be required depending on business needs.

Travel:

Daily travel to residential/commercial job sites throughout the local branch’s service region.

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC and ventilation systems, using root-cause analysis to ensure long-term solutions.

• Translate technical findings into clear repair options for homeowners and provide transparent, upfront pricing.
• Evaluate aging or inefficient equipment and educate customers on system replacements and ongoing maintenance memberships.

• Maintain consistent communication with Dispatch and Customer Service teams to ensure efficient scheduling and job completion.
• Manage a fully stocked service vehicle and ensure all job sites are kept clean, safe, and organized.

What You Bring

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of residential HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and sales experience. Proven track record of successfully presenting and selling equipment replacement options to homeowners.
• Licensing: EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) preferred.
• Communication: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Integrity:High integrity with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
• Reliability: Valid driver’s license with an insurable record.
• Compliance: Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50-75 lbs.
• Ability to frequent stoop, kneel and crouch to work in tight spaces.
• Ability to climb and work from ladders.
• Must be able to work in both extreme heat and cold, as well as adverse weather conditions.

Compensation

• Base Pay Range: $30.00-45.00/hr based on experience.
• Range Basis: Within this range, an individual's starting pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, professional experience, and internal equity across our organization.
• Other Compensation: Overtime eligibility, and opportunity for service spiffs. See benefits listed above.
• Overtime Classification: Hourly, non-exempt.
