Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment for our commercial client base. You will work with motors, pumps, air handling units, and environmental controls while adhering to safety and code standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using CMMS documentation, and coordinating with subcontractors on-site. A driver’s license and EPA 608 certification are required, with HVAC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ commercial or residential HVAC maintenance experience.
• Good working knowledge of HVAC equipment with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance skills.
• Must be able to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts.
• Microsoft Office skills required.
• Certifications may be required.
• EPA 608 Certification required; HVAC Certification preferred.
• Driver's license valid and in state.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and some corrective maintenance services to existing HVAC equipment per CMMS work orders.
• Installs, repair, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, and air handling components.
• Maintains safe operation of systems including environmental controls and boilers.
• Diagnoses problems using inspection/testing techniques and proper tools.
• Familiarizes with facility designs and operating procedures for environmental controls.
• Delivers work in accordance with safety procedures and client standards.
• Inspects completed work for code conformance.
• Escorts subcontractors on-site during their work.
• Performs other maintenance tasks as directed.
• Maintains clean, safe workspace and completes required training.
• May assist in training other technicians and provide mentorship.
