Energy Systems, a Generac Industrial Distributor, seeks an HVAC technician to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical components of HVAC systems, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to emergency service requests. The role requires willingness to work nights and weekends, travel to job sites, and adherence to safety policies.

Candidate must have a high school diploma, 450 HVAC hours, EPA 608 certification, DOT medical certificate, and refrigeration technician license (MA/RI/CT).

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required.
• HVAC school: 450 hours required.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• DOT Medical Certificate required.
• Refrigeration Technician License (MA, RI or CT) required.
• Electrical Code hours: 150; total 6000 work hours.
• Willing to work nights and weekends on a rotating on-call team.

Major Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency service requests
• Perform all tasks independently
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Minimum Job Requirements

• Education: High school Diploma
• HVAC School: 450 Hours
• Minimum EPA 608 Universal Certification / License
• Valid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required
• Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
• Refrigeration Technician License (MA, RI or CT)
• Work Experience 150 Electrical Code hours, 6000 work hours

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Willing to work nights and weekends on a rotating on-call team to respond to emergency calls 24/7
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and system controls
• Must have knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot and service commercial equipment under 10 tons
• Capable of daily travel to the job site(s) with an independent work structure
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, diagnostic skills on basic refrigeration and electronic control circuits utilizing the latest monitoring tools and dexterity to repair field problems
• Ability to provide accurate and timely documentation, reporting and commentary, which accurately reflect field conditions
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
