Job summary

Jobot is seeking an HVAC Technician-educator in Connecticut to teach HVAC courses and lead hands-on training for students in a college or technical program. The role combines technical expertise with leadership to guide curriculum and student outcomes in a classroom and lab setting.

Responsibilities include managing program operations, coordinating with faculty, and preparing students for licensing and employment opportunities, all while ensuring safety and industry best practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut S1 or S2 license is required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a licensed HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and industry standards.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and support faculty and students.

Job Details

As an HVAC Technician you'll help ensure students receive the training and guidance necessary to succeed in the field.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Connecticut S1 or S2 license required (B2 combined with D2 also acceptable)
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a licensed HVAC Technician or similar role (apprenticeship experience not included)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and industry standards
• Ability to lead, mentor, and support faculty and students

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of classroom teaching experience at the post-secondary level, not required.
• 3 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
• Experience developing training programs, mentoring employees, or leading teams
• Passion for workforce development and student success
