CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an HVAC technician in Troy, OH to maintain climate control systems for a government defense client.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex commercial systems, with a Monday–Friday day shift and an on-call rotation to address urgent needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or trade school, 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

About the Role:

Join our team as an HVAC technician where you will play a critical role in maintaining the climate control infrastructure for a high-profile government defense client. This position offers the opportunity to work in a secure, state-of-the-art facility where your technical expertise directly supports mission-critical operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex commercial systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in an environment where precision is paramount.

To maintain the integrity of the facility systems, you will participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent maintenance needs.

What You'll Do:

• Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.


• Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.


• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.


• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.


• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.


• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.


• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.


• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.


• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.


• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
