CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service small to mid-size buildings and industrial systems. The role supports a smart-building environment with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Work is on a day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, in Albany, Missouri. You will handle HVAC and electrical system upkeep, assist with equipment installation, and ensure safety and efficiency across building operations.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of job-related experience or combination of experience and education.
  • High school diploma/ GED or trade school diploma is acceptable.
  • Strong communication and safety-minded approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
  • Inspect and service electrical systems and building equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and diagnoses.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
  • Review work orders and track completion.
  • Support energy management to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Follow established procedures and communicate clearly.
  • Deliver outputs under supervision and guidance.

Job description

About the Role:

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep facilities operating safely and efficiently. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Day Shift).

You will support a large client in a smart building environment, helping create a safe, healthy, and productive workplace. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with building systems and equipment while contributing to the daily operation and reliability of a modern facility.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and maintain electrical systems and building equipment, using your strong technical knowledge to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Driver License Require
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
