Job summary

Complete Building Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support one of our educational partners in Springfield, VA. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, and related systems across a commercial building environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings.
• Familiarity with chillers and building automation systems (BAS/EMS).
• Journeyman level skills in HVAC and building maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect systems on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues as required.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for installation or repair work.
• Document work performed on tickets and work orders.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards and ensure client satisfaction.
• Prepare and distribute system status reports as directed.
• Purchase materials and manage inventory to support timely work.

About the Role

Complete Building Services is adding an experienced HVAC Technician to our team. You will be supporting one of our educational partners in Springfield, VA.

The major job duties are listed below:

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspectionsof systems and associated equipment.
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor.
• Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required.
• Interface with the building manager and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction.
• Complete daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports of the system status as directed by the supervisor.
• Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directed.
• Place or remove systems and equipment as directed.
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion.
• Prepare and distributedaily, weekly and monthly reports of system status and work completed.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, and security systems and associated hardware and equipment as directed.
• Prepare predictive maintenance on assigned equipment to prevent breakdowns and/or outages.
• Accurately document work performed on tickets and/or work orders.

Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Salary $35-$40

You Should Have

• 7-10 years of experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings/familiarity with chillers
• Must have strong BAS/EMS experience
• Journeyman level skills
• Excellent communication skills
