Job summary

Complete Building Services (CBS) is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support one of our educational partners in Springfield, VA. The role involves inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems, diagnosing problems, and coordinating with the building manager to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings, with chillers familiarity.
• Must have strong BAS/EMS experience.
• Journeyman level skills and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of systems and equipment on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required.
• Interface with building management and customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare and distribute system status reports.
• Assist subcontractors with installation and/or repair work.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, and security systems.
• Document work performed on tickets and work orders.
• Purchase materials and track inventory for timely completion.

Responsibilities Complete Building Services is adding an experienced HVAC Technician to our team. You will be supporting one of our educational partners in Springfield, VA.

The Major Job Duties Are Listed Below

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment.
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor.
• Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required.
• Interface with the building manager and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction.
• Complete daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports of the system status as directed by the supervisor.
• Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directed.
• Place or remove systems and equipment as directed.
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports of system status and work completed.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, and security systems and associated hardware and equipment as directed.
• Prepare predictive maintenance on assigned equipment to prevent breakdowns and/or outages.
• Accurately document work performed on tickets and/or work orders.

Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
