Job summary

University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, install components, and assist with troubleshooting. The role requires flexible hours, weekend availability, and on-site work at the Richardson campus.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of HVAC experience and EPA Universal Certification; a valid Texas driver’s license is required.

Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, this includes changing air filters, greasing, replacement of belts, etc. Installs motors, electronics, thermostats, humidistats, fans, other HVAC components, heating water and hydronics, chilled water controls and automated control systems. Assists with troubleshooting and resolving issues with HVAC equipment. Maintain a flexible work schedule including being on-call. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work weekends.




High school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of one year of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning experience. Also requires some basic electrical and plumbing and Building Automation Systems experience. EPA Universal Certification required and must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
