Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to sustain heating, ventilation and air conditioning across its Racine, Mount Pleasant and Waterford campuses in Wisconsin. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while collaborating with the Facilities team.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial HVAC, a Building Automation System background, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC with large-scale refrigeration and commercial systems.
  • Experience identifying mechanical/electrical malfunctions using tests and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience working with a Building Automation System.
  • EPA refrigerant handling certification preferred.
  • OSHA commercial safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate HVAC systems across multiple CNH campus buildings.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and install, rebuild or replace equipment and parts.
  • Monitor Building Automation System performance and adjust for energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and Site teams for general building maintenance.
  • Maintain logs and PM schedules using computer systems.
  • Use hand, power, and digital tools to complete work efficiently.

Job Purpose

You will be a team player who communicates effectively, supports fellow team members, takes ownership of responsibilities, and consistently follows through on commitments. As the onsite HVAC point of contact, you will troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical concerns, perform routine preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • As the HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be a go-to expert for ensuring the smooth operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a diverse mix of new, aging, and historic buildings, including office, R&D and Training Centers.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure minimal disruption to daily office operations. Install, rebuild or replace equipment and parts.
  • Maintain and monitor Building Automation System performance and make adjustments to improve energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate across the Facilities and Site team to support general building maintenance and other facility needs as necessary.
  • Maintain logs and PM schedules of system operations and work performed using computer systems.
  • Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment to complete jobs efficiently.
Site Operations
  • Work Monday – Friday on site daily, first shift with occasional on-call hours for emergencies.
  • Partner and engage with HVAC contractors while working on CNH buildings.
  • Keep work areas safe, wearing or using safety equipment and tools, and abiding by established safety policies and procedures.
Experience Required
  • 3+ years of experience in the HVAC field with large‑scale refrigeration and commercial HVAC.
  • Ability to identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions using testing equipment, gauges and diagnostic tools.
  • Working with a Building Automation System.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi‑trade facility maintenance experience in addition to HVAC, including plumbing and general building systems, is highly preferred.
  • Completion of an HVAC trade school or formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple campus buildings.
  • EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
  • OSHA commercial course on hazard protocols.
  • Skilled in quick and effective resolution of site issues and emergencies.
Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $63,750.00 – $97,750.00 plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role. For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
