Job summary

John Owens Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems for our residential and light commercial clients.

You will ensure comfort, safety, and reliability for customers in Petaluma and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, documenting work, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an HVAC technician or in a comparable role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of HVAC system operation.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems and refrigeration fundamentals.
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify issues, and provide reliable solutions.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and some commercial environments
• Diagnose heating and cooling equipment issues and recommend effective solutions
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently
