Job summary

Achuti LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to service and maintain commercial HVAC systems on federal projects, including at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with project teams while adhering to OSHA and federal standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to obtain base access.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, VFDs, controls).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical faults, and complete detailed service documentation.
• Execute system change-outs and small projects (ductwork, line sets, brazing) in occupied facilities with minimal disruption.
• Support start-ups and commissioning while coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and base facility representatives.
• Follow Achuti safety protocols, OSHA standards, and federal installation requirements at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams, providing professional recommendations for corrective actions.

Achuti LLC, an award-winning design-build and construction firm serving military and federal clients globally, is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to make an impact and grow within a rapidly expanding firm.

The HVAC Technician will play a pivotal role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across Achuti’s federal and military projects, including work at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and surrounding facilities. This individual will ensure high-quality workmanship, compliance with federal installation standards, and provide reliable service that supports Achuti’s commitment to excellence and client success.

Must-Haves

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive HVAC service/maintenance experience in commercial, federal, or industrial settings.
• Certifications: EPA 608 (Type II or Universal required). NATE certification strongly preferred.
• Clearance/Access: Ability to obtain and maintain base access to MCB Camp Lejeune (clean background; Real ID/driver’s license; insurable driving record). Prior DBIDS access a plus.
• Readiness: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces/roof environments, and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Professionalism: Strong troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and proficiency with digital work-order systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• BAS/DDC controls, refrigeration, or chiller/specialty equipment experience.
• Prior DoD, USACE, or NAVFAC project experience.
• OSHA-10/30, first aid/CPR certifications.
