Job summary

Mennonite Village Continuing Care Retirement Community is seeking an HVAC Technician to join our Facilities team. This role focuses on complex troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across multiple buildings, requiring Oregon HVAC certification.

You will diagnose and repair advanced HVAC systems, document work orders in our CMMS, and provide courteous service to residents, staff, and leadership, ensuring safe, reliable operation of essential systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • HVAC certification required.
  • Three years of commercial HVAC maintenance and repair experience required.
  • Minimum of five years of building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in HVAC and support complex system repairs and installations
  • Complete and document work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and inspections accurately in the CMMS
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and compassionate service to residents, staff, and leadership

About The Role

The HVAC Technician is a certified, highly skilled professional responsible for complex troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, across all Mennonite Village facilities. This role requires Oregon HVAC certification.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • HVAC certification required
  • Three (3) years of commercial HVAC maintenance and repair experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of building maintenance experience construction trades, or related field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Valid Oregon driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems preferred.

Pay & Benefits
Pay range: $32.00 to $42.00 per hour depending on experience
