Job summary

Horne Heating and Air Conditioning in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Technical Program Assistant to support its Technical Academy and apprenticeship program on a part-time basis. Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in administrative support, training coordination, education, human resources, or program management.
• Outstanding organizational and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day administrative functions for the Technical Academy.
• Assist with organizing and updating training curriculum and educational materials.
• Maintain training manuals, presentations, and instructional resources.
• Schedule classroom sessions, instructor calendars, and apprenticeship activities.
• Manage apprenticeship records from enrollment through program completion.
• Track attendance, certifications, progress, and required documentation.
• Coordinate communication between apprentices, mentors, instructors, department managers, and leadership.
• Organize internal training events, workshops, and technical education sessions.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate program documentation.
• Order training materials and coordinate classroom resources.
• Support onboarding activities related to technical training.
• Assist with leadership development programs and company training events.
• Recommend improvements that strengthen training organization and efficiency.
