Job summary

Supply New England is seeking an HVAC technical service advisor/designer to design duct systems and work with outside sales and the distribution team to grow customers and meet sales quotas with gross margin. The role requires at least 3–5 years in HVAC and strong knowledge of fundamentals.

The position supports contractors, performs load calculations, selects appropriate equipment, and documents field findings for improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, service or technical support.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and manufacturers diagnostic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Sells and promotes the items and products that we have in stock – provide alternative suggestions to customers who request other products, and successfully converts initial customer requests to stock brands.
• Actively upsells customers on complimentary products beyond original order.
• Promotes current programs and sales.
• Follows-through on commitments (communications, bids, existing sales orders, etc.) made to customers.
• Proficiency with related computer systems and applications – willing to train.
• Accurately follows procedures to ensure high quality output and takes action to correct quality problems.
• Solves customer needs by recommending products or services that contribute to their level of satisfaction.
• Organizes work time to maximize efficiency with a defined time management process.
• Perform HVAC load calculations.
• Choose HVAC equipment that is appropriate for application.
• Document field findings and report recommendations for process or product improvements.
• Support local SNE branches when not supporting contractors.

Summary / Objective

The HVAC Designer designs duct systems and will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, to create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.
