Job summary

4M Building Solutions, LLC. in Indianapolis, IN seeks an HVAC Tech/Janitorial Services professional to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and production equipment. Requires 4+ years in building engineering with HVAC/R, and a universal CFC recovery certificate.

On-site role with on-call rotation and competitive hourly pay. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, systems repair, and CMMS updates; driving license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering with HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• Must pass the background check, MVR, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems and components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Inspect and familiarize with equipment and proper usage for daily activities.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
• Update work orders in real time and use CMMS (Corrigo) for all work performed.
• Operate with valid state driver’s license and be available for call-in work.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate operates, inspects, and maintains HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment life. They maintain equipment in an energy-efficient and safe manner, minimizing downtime through proactive repairs and record-keeping.

This role includes inspecting and repairing interior and exterior areas, such as walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting. A strong focus is placed on troubleshooting and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems. Candidates should have technical expertise in these areas and be multi-skilled in electrical work, plumbing, and material handling to successfully complete daily and weekly assignments.

This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The role may require lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing systems, and both interior and exterior building repairs, as well as related grounds and production equipment for assigned buildings.
• Study and familiarize yourself with the various items of equipment and the proper methods required for their use in everyday activities.
• Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that may impact satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Update work order statuses in real time.
• Utilize CMMS systems, such as Corrigo, for all performed work.
• Candidates must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• Must pass the background check, MVR, and Drug Test.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC
