Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a Building Maintenance technician at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time, day-shift role supports heating, cooling, ventilation, and overall facility operations to keep hospital services running smoothly.

You will install, inspect, maintain, and repair systems, respond to after-hours emergencies, and collaborate with teams. Requirements include EPA certification, a high school diploma or trade school, and 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (level II preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent or graduate of trade school.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice‑making systems.
• Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after‑hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and strictly follows safety protocols using PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, and keeps tools and vehicles in safe operating condition.
• Dedicates 20% of the role to participating in meetings, training workshops, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
