Job summary

Friendship Village Tempe is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, and related equipment within our community.

A minimum of 3 years HVAC/maintenance experience is required; HVAC Certification is preferred and EPA Certification is strongly preferred. A valid Driver's License is required.

Schedule is 7:00am–3:30pm Tuesday–Saturday, pay $27.95–$30.75/hour DOE.

• Current enrollment in vocational school may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, and air handlers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
• Maintain equipment logs, reports, and maintenance records.
• Work with residents, staff, and vendors to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Support plant operations and emergency systems with safety focus.
• On-call pager may be required; weekends/holidays/overtime possible.

Pay: $27.95-$30.75/hour (DOE)

Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Tuesday through Saturday

What You'll Do:

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, air handlers, and commercial equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and complete quality repairs
• Maintain equipment logs, reports, and maintenance records
• Work with residents, staff, and vendors to deliver outstanding customer service
• Help support plant operations and emergency systems while keeping safety a top priority
• Occasionally carrying the maintenance on-call pager may be required. Possibility of working weekends, holidays, overtime and or any shift as dictated by department workload.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC/maintenance experience. (Current enrollment in an accredited vocational trade school for maintenance of commercial kitchen/laundry facilities and or chillers may substitute for one year of experience)
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• EPA Certification strongly preferred. If no EPA certification employee must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License required.
