Job summary

Friendship Village Tempe is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to keep our community comfortable and safe. You will service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and related equipment on site.

Day shift 7:00am-3:30pm Tuesday through Saturday; pay $27.95-$30.75/hour DOE. EPA/HVAC certification preferred; valid driver's license required; some on-call and weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC/maintenance experience. (Current enrollment in an accredited vocational trade school for maintenance of commercial kitchen/laundry facilities and or chillers may substitute for one year of experience)
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• EPA Certification strongly preferred. If no EPA certification employee must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, air handlers, and commercial equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and complete quality repairs
• Maintain equipment logs, reports, and maintenance records
• Work with residents, staff, and vendors to deliver outstanding customer service
• Help support plant operations and emergency systems while keeping safety a top priority
• Occasionally carrying the maintenance on-call pager may be required. Possibility of working weekends, holidays, overtime and or any shift as dictated by department workload.
