Job summary

North Dakota Department of Emergency Services is seeking a Systems Mechanic in Fargo, ND to install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R equipment for the Fargo Air National Guard facility. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces, with compensation starting at $3,871 to $4,950 per month DOE.

Qualifications include completion of HVAC trade school or equivalent, plus at least one year of related maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of HVAC trade school or equivalent certification.
• One year of work experience in maintenance and repair of heating plant equipment, water treatment program, heating and ventilation equipment and/or air conditioning systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend and kneel, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment for the Fargo Air National Guard building and grounds department.
• Repair and install ductwork; use common hand tools and specialized tools.
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment; read and apply construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Diagnose problems and provide corrective recommendations and cost estimates.
