Job summary

The Envelop Group's Validated Custom Solutions (VCS) division seeks a Support Engineer to back our sales team from inquiry through delivery. You will validate HVAC equipment selections, pricing and submittals, and provide in-depth technical product knowledge.

You will design HVAC systems, prepare submittals, review manufacturer acknowledgments, track orders, and assist in turnover to service. A BS in engineering and 2+ years in HVAC or controls are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a similar field.
• 2+ years of related work experience, preferably HVAC equipment, controls or similar.
• Moderate technical knowledge of HVAC systems and their manufacturers.
• Experience with construction drawings, specs, and project schedules preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales engineers to understand customer requirements and determine system needs.
• Design HVAC systems and integrate VCS offerings into project documents.
• Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary or final proposals and submittals.
• Assist in determining proposal price, selling strategy, and project schedule.
• Prepare submittal data and revisions for approved packages.
• Review manufacturer acknowledgements for accuracy and correct orders as required.
• Complete orders and track progress, updating status to customer and sales engineers.
• Maintain records including contract closeout, warranty execution, and product updates.
• Facilitate turnover from sales to service team.
• Provide high-level application-based technical product training to offices.
