Job summary

Validated Custom Solutions (VCS), part of the Envelop Group family, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead Support Engineers delivering sales support, equipment validation, and technical training.

You will coach engineers, manage workflows, and ensure accurate submittals, pricing, and continuous learning. This role requires a strong HVAC background and leadership in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience.
• 8+ years of HVAC support engineering experience.
• 1+ year of experience coaching and mentoring engineers.
• Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems and manufacturers serving the market.
• Mastery of HVAC controls for new construction and retrofit projects.
• Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and schedules is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Support Engineers to provide sales support from inquiry to delivery.
• Validate equipment selections, pricing, and submittals; provide technical product knowledge.
• Manage workload of the team and support all VCS companies as requested.
• Collaborate with sales engineers to assess HVAC equipment needs and system requirements.
• Provide high-level application-based HVAC training for offices and optimize training programs.
• Assist in designing HVAC systems and integrating VCS offerings into project design.
• Prepare scope of work, proposals, and pricing; review manufacturer acknowledgements for accuracy.
• Ensure records of product updates and continuous learning of HVAC technologies.
