Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support sustainable HVAC systems and building technology deployment within Global Engineering Services. Lead cross-functional teams, manage capital projects and drive enterprise-wide technical strategy for climate goals.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver scalable, high-impact HVAC solutions across Amazon facilities, aligning with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of HVAC and mechanical system design, construction, operations, or maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical program management.
  • Experience in managing multiple programs/projects, using effective time management to drive complex activities.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, controllers, piping, and ductwork.
  • Ability to supervise HVAC installations in new construction, retrofits, or energy upgrade projects.
  • Understanding of psychometrics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics related to HVAC.
  • Familiarity with IBC, NEC, ASME, NFPA and ASHRAE standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement in HVAC and mechanical systems to increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Develop and own the roadmap for enhancing efficiency and reducing total cost of ownership for sustainable HVAC systems.
  • Evaluate emerging HVAC technologies and vendors for applications such as advanced heat pumps, geothermal systems, and DOAS.
  • Lead development projects from concept through execution including business case, stakeholder alignment, vendor selection, design, and commissioning.
  • Create, collect and maintain project documentation including technical specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, consultants and construction managers to deliver solutions at Amazon facilities.
  • Establish and track KPIs for monitoring HVAC performance and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 25%.
