State of North Carolina agency seeks an HVAC Supervisor with journeyman-level trade skills to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems in institutional settings. The role involves mentoring offender labor, reading blueprints, and ensuring work aligns with drawings, schedules, and codes.

Candidates must hold EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal certification, have knowledge of OSHA standards and NC Building Codes, and lead a crew while maintaining safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• Journeyman level construction trade skills in HVAC systems, installation, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project drawings.
• Strong decision-making and team collaboration abilities.
• EPA Section 608 Certification Type II or Universal (required to handle refrigerants).
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and NC Building Codes.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment and associated systems.
• Lead and mentor offender labor force, supervise crew, and ensure work aligns with drawings and codes.
• Read and interpret project drawings, schedules, and specifications to complete work on time and within budget.
• Ensure work meets safety standards and building codes; coordinate with CAP Mechanical Superintendent.
