Zusammenfassung

Hillsborough Community College seeks a skilled HVAC technician to operate and maintain heating and cooling systems across campus facilities. You will monitor the Energy Management System, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with various maintenance tasks as assigned.

The role requires completing high school or GED plus two years of related experience or equivalent vocational training. The successful candidate will work on-site and support contractors as needed.

• Order and/or pickup supplies as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Operates and maintains safe, effective, and efficient heating and cooling systems in the College's facilities on assigned campus(es).

Job Duties:

• Substitution of experience is permitted to substitute for vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship beyond High School or GED.
• Applicants are required to have completed at least High School or GED.
• Operates and monitors HVAC equipment utilizing the computerized Energy Management System.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment.
• Monitors and inspects conditions of buildings and equipment with walk-throughs.
• Performs general maintenance/work orders as assigned to include plumbing, electrical, building repairs, etc.
• Provides support to contractors as needed.
• Orders and/or picks up supplies as needed.
• Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship beyond High School or GED and two years of prior-related work experience.
