Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician I to install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems across customer homes in the North Shore area.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, system start-up, calibration, and thorough documentation. Ideal candidates have EPA 608 certification, 2+ years of HVAC experience, and strong communication skills for customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification (for refrigerant handling) is required.
• NATE certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC with focus on start-up, commissioning, or installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and system start-up, including cleaning and calibration.
• Conduct tests and troubleshoot HVAC units to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Explain systems operation and maintenance steps to customers; document service activities.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers; follow safety guidelines.
• Shadow junior technicians and provide feedback and training as needed.
