Job summary

JCM Associates, Inc. is seeking HVAC start-up/commissioning technicians for full-time, year-round roles in commercial mechanical construction across Maryland, DC, and Northern VA.

Responsibilities include start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and service of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems, with documentation and coordination on-site. We value 5+ years of commercial mechanical experience, a CFC/universal license, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• CFC/Universal License required.
• 5+ years of experience in building commercial mechanical projects.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Capable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
• Able to interact with multiple personalities.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, commission, maintain, and service HVAC and plumbing equipment.
• Document startup and commissioning forms on laptops/tablets.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, models, and/or verbal and written instructions.
• Coordinate with NEBB Tab contractor and ATC sub-contractor.
• Inspect and repair components like compressors, valves, coils.
• Record faults and report time and materials.
• Teach helpers the installation of HVAC systems.
• Meet project schedules and timelines.
