Job summary

100 Miami University seeks an Assistant Manager for the Trades Shop (HVAC) to supervise staff and oversee maintenance programs. Responsibilities include managing a preventive maintenance program, training personnel, and handling inventory.

The ideal candidate will possess HVAC training and supervisory skills, along with a valid driver's license. Additional preferred qualifications include relevant licenses and experience with HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• 18 months training beyond high school in a skilled trade and four years of experience in that trade.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be a qualified driver under the University’s MVR policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise at least five skilled trades personnel in the HVAC shop.
• Manage preventive maintenance program of HVAC systems.
• Review completed work of employees and ensure needed changes are made.

Knowledge of HVAC procedures and equipment

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Education

18 months training beyond high school in a skilled trade

4 years of experience in that trade

Tools

Universal Refrigeration License

State HVAC License

CMMS experience
