Job summary

Miami University is seeking a Master Trades Specialist/AQT HVAC to perform complex repairs or installations in university facilities. The role requires specialized training in a skilled trade and the ability to read blueprints and understand mechanical drawings.

The position is on first shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with 40 hours per week and benefit eligibility. A valid driver's license and EPA Universal Certification for AQT positions are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procedures and equipment for skilled trade
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical diagrams

Responsibilities

• Review job orders and blueprints; inspect site and consult with client; determine best method to complete project.
• Estimate materials and equipment; prepare cost estimates; arrange for materials to be at job site.
• Perform complex repair or installation on university facilities and property using specialized trade training.
• Serve as informational resource to other staff.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment; keep work area clean and orderly.
