Job summary

Step is seeking a Sheetmetal Technician in Warwick, RI to fabricate and install ductwork for residential and light commercial HVAC projects. You will join our sheetmetal team and apply precision, safety, and customer-service mindset on every job.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, fabricating ducts, installing systems, and maintaining tools and PPE. The ideal candidate has sheetmetal fabrication experience, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to growth and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; HVAC certifications a plus.
• Prior experience in sheetmetal fabrication.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet the company's motor vehicle policy.
• Willingness to expand your technical and repair knowledge; obtain new licenses and commitment to professional growth.
• Exceptional technical skills as well as strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently while safely maintaining a high level of performance.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install ductwork for residential and light commercial projects.
• Maintain a professional image on job sites and advocate for the company and its brand.
• Read blueprints and fabricate sheetmetal according to measurements/drawings.
• Knowledge of air distribution (CFM) and duct installation.
• Communicate with Manager and staff; ensure PPE and safety standards.
