Comfort Systems USA (Mid South) is seeking a full-time HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic in Montgomery, Alabama. In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair various sheet metal products including ducts and control boxes.

Job Overview

HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic – Full‑time position to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal products and equipment.
• Install ductwork per SMACNA standards, including ATU, RTU and split systems.
• Read blueprints, follow instructions and accurately measure using a ruler or tape measure.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks.
• Travel to job sites and accommodate occasional overnight stays.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic.
• Must be able to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Must work 40 hours per week and be available for overtime as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license that meets the company driver qualification policy.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and pre‑employment fitness test.
• Must be punctual with regular attendance and able to work on a team.
• Must be willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight at job sites.
