Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Fabricators in Knoxville, TN. You will build commercial HVAC ductwork and fittings in our shop, reading tickets and blueprints while operating brakes, shears, plasma cutters and other tools.

Training is available for candidates with mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn and grow within the skilled trades. We offer competitive pay based on experience, company-paid medical premiums, a 401(k) match, and paid time off from day one,

Qualifications

• Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred, but training is available for entry-level candidates.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fabrication equipment.
• Attention to detail and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble rectangular and round HVAC ductwork.
• Build fittings such as elbows, transitions, offsets, plenums and custom components.
• Read fabrication tickets, shop drawings and blueprints.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, form, connect and reinforce sheet metal.
• Operate brakes, shears, seamers, bead rollers, plasma cutters and power tools.
• Ensure quality, secure connections and safe, organized work area.
